MTIDE provides an integrated environment for the rapid development of applications.

Using a colourised editor with built-in syntax checking, pages are created in procedural blocks using a combination of HTML, XML, SQL and sets of tags that control the logic flow and formatting of data within the pages.

Additionally, where more complex logic has to be encapsulated, pages can incorporate procedures coded in BeanShell, a scripted version of the Java language that permits loose typing of data elements. The XML needed to define screens is generated directly via MTDesigner, which can be called from within MTIDE.
